Bustelo, Vinho Verde 2023

The Bustelo dream began in 2016, when a team of passionate wine lovers purchased a 4.5ha vineyard a short drive from Lisbon. Located on a south-west facing slope comprised mainly of limestone soil, and only about 30km from the Atlantic, they are perfectly situated to produce the vibrant wines for which Portugal is best known. Vinho Verde 2023 is made from 100% Alvarinho and is everything you want and expect from this style: bright, vibrant, citrussy and extremely moreish. A nose of lemon zest, grapefruit, lime and blossom leads to a refreshing palate with a nice mineral edge and good lick of salty acidity on the pleasantly long finish. Great as an aperitif or paired with fried fish.
